Symbolism

The colours of the Ghana flag are red, yellow, green and black. The red represents the blood of our forefathers who fought for the independence of our nation. The yellow stands for the mineral wealth. Green symbolises the vegetation of Ghana, and lastly the Black Star signifies the skin colour of the African heroes who stood in quest for the total freedom and liberation of Africa.

Architecture

Credit goes to the British and Portuguese for building forts and castles which included the Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle and Christianborg Castle. Kakum and Mole National Park are among the cherished tourist sites in Ghana (...)
