A two-time winner of the National "Best Film Directing Award" (Ghana Film Awards 2001 and 2002), Quarshie also won the 1992 National Film and Television Institute's Best Student Directing award for the film "Action Plan".
 
She has co-authored and directed several award winning films including "A Stab in the Dark" (Best Story Award), "Ripples" (Best Story, Best Directing, Best Sound and Best Photography Awards), "Shadows from the Past" (Best Screenplay / Best Editing Awards), "A Call at Midnight" (Best Directing, Best Story, Best Screenplay, Best Editing Awards).
