Educated at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and New York University (both in the USA), Anany started a Ghana based production company, i60 Productions in 2011 and has been working as a producer and fixer for international producers who want to shoot their projects in West Africa.
 
Currently sharing her time between Ghana and the United States, she completed her short film "Hospitals (Korji) in 2013 and went on to shoot her debut feature, "Children of the Mountain" which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016.
 
"Children of the Mountain" also won the "Audience Award" at the 2016 Film Africa Film Festival in London (UK). As a Women's Empowerment advocate, Anany likes to tell stories about women and their strengths.
 
Her goal is to make films that portray people of African descent in a positive light while telling stories that explore the unique and undiscovered richness of cultures of Africa.
