Featuring works by documentary filmmakers from all over the world, this is one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Africa. In addition to a screening programme of about 50 documentary films, visitors to the event can also participate in discussions with the directors, seminars, master classes and workshops. First held in 1999 only in Cape Town, the popularity of this event has grown over the years and an additional event now also takes place in Johannesburg.
