Ms. Okwo is founder and owner of Pom_Pom Entertainment Group and Native Lingua Films (NLF). Popularly known as Pom Pom, she is a graduate of University of Benin Creative Arts Department (UNIBEN). Following her graduation from UNIBEN Drama Department, Mildred left for the US in the late eighties. In 1993, she bagged a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law in California.

Mildred's love for the arts never waned even as she founded and operated a law firm in Los Angeles, California. Through the years, she has been involved in various entertainment related businesses including artist management, and music company ownership. Once Nollywood blossomed, she bid her time knowing that her ultimate career goal was to produce quality films.

Sometime in early 2004, Mildred presented long time family friend and film producer Ego Boyo with the first ten pages of her third screen play "30 Days". The idea for 30 Days was inspired by conditions Mildred observed in Nigeria, and by a December 27, 2003 article written by popular Nigerian columnist Simon Kolawale. The article motivated Mildred to insist on writing and producing movies that gently prick the conscience of its audience. Further, Mildred wanted to offer a better quality production to Nollywood viewers. To achieve this goal, she sought after the expertise of Cricket Peters, Andre Manga, Hank Grover, Monica Orbe, and Ty Rawls.

30 Days is NLF's first movie production, and Mildred's directorial and producing debut. As founder of NLF, Mildred believes that soon enough, Nollywood will be the premiere content provider for black people around the world. NLF is poised to produce and market content that explores the African story.
