South African ScriptWriter & Director
Anthony Silverston is a member of the Triggerfish founding team and one of the co-founders of Animation SA, the representative animation body of South Africa. Triggerfish is South Africa's leading animation studio, responsible for the runaway success Adventures in Zambezia.
Anthony is a Writer and Director of Khumba for which he won a major UK scriptwriting competition in 2006. In addition, he was one of the writers of Adventures in Zambezia and a member of the Triggerfish founding team. He is also the Head of Development and carries additional production and scriptwriting responsibilities.
Anthony has completed 3 independent shorts, one of which, The Slipper Cycle, won Best Independent Animation at The Independents' Film Festival in Florida,
USA. He is also one of the co-founders of Animation SA, the representative animation body of South Africa, and is still actively involved in a number of the organisation's projects. In July 2012, Anthony was selected as a judge for the 2012 International Emmy Awards.
He has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Cape Town. He was also a science genius in a former incarnation, but now boats an impressive collection of Tim Burton figurines.
