Egyptian film director

Amir RAMSES is an Egyptian film director, born in 1979 and a graduate of the Cinema Institute in Egypt (in 2000, film directing section). He worked as assistant to the acclaimed director Youssef Chahine before starting to make his own films including the award winning short film Downtown and The Jews of Egypt. His films have been presented in many prestigious film festivals around the world and Amir has been chosen as a jury member in many others. Amir is the author of the 2010 novel, Song of Songs and the artistic director to Cinemobile Film Festival in Egypt.

Egyptian film director, born in 1979, studied filmmaking at the higher institute of cinema, academy of arts Egypt in 2000, worked as assistant director for 5 years with the Egyptian internationally acclaimed director Youssef Chahine in "silence we are shooting ", "11 09 01" and "Alexandria Newyork". He directed many short films, documentaries and features, wrote one novel "song of songs" published in 2010.. worked for 2 years as artistic director for Cinemobile film festival Egypt and was chosen as jury member in many national and international film festivals such as : Jury president for Youssef Chahine film festival 2012, jury president for the second edition of Alexandria short film festival 2016, jury member in Luxor African film festival 2014 and Tripoli international film festival 2016, his films won many national and international awards and were selected for many festivals.
He is the Festival Director of CIFF (Cairo International Film Festival).

مخرج مصري مواليد ١٩٧٩، درس الإخراج السينمائي بالمعهد العالي للسينما و تخرج في عام ٢٠٠٠. عمل كمساعد مخرج لمدة خمس سنوات مع المخرج المصري العالمي يوسف شاهين في أفلام "سكوت ح نصور" "١١ سبتمبر" " إسكندرية نيويورك"... قام بإخراج عدد من الأفلام الطويلة و التسجيلية و القصيرة و ألف رواية واحدة "نشيد الإنشاد" و التي نشرت في ٢٠١٠.. عمل لمدة عامين كمدير فني لمهرجان سينيموبايل السينمائي في مصر و شارك كعضو لجنة تحكيم في العديد من المهرجانات المحلية و الدولية و أهمها : رئيس لجنة تحكيم مهرجان يوسف شاهين ٢٠١٢ ، رئيس لجنة تحكيم مهرجان الإسكندرية للفيلم القصير في دورته الثانية ٢٠١٦ ، عضو بلجان تحكيم مهرجان الأقصر للفيلم الأفريقي ٢٠١٤ و مهرجان طرابلس الدولي للسينما ٢٠١٦.. نالت أفلامه العديد من الجوائز المحلية و الدولية و أختيرت للمشاركة في العديد من المهرجانات
