As part of DIFF's commitment to extending opportunities for Arab filmmakers, we are pleased to announce the following call for entry from one of our partners:

EP2C is a one-week workshop dedicated to post-production management of international co-productions and addressed to producers and post-production supervisors.

This year the workshop is organized in Warsaw, Poland (4-9 October 2011).
Application deadline: 20th of June 2011

For whom:
producers and post-production supervisors. We can accept up to 22 participants (16 producers and 6 post-production supervisors), professionals with filmmaking experience in their countries and willing to cooperate with other countries.
Non-European participants are welcome! (maximum 6 participants)
Scholarships are available.

What for:
we do believe that well scheduled, budgeted and conducted post-production can save a lot of work, money, stress and artistic compromises, therefore the main goal of this weeklong workshop is to facilitate post-production stage of a film, taking into consideration all the above factors, especially important in case of demanding and multi-countries productions.

How:
producers are requested to come with a project - no matter feature or documentary, which will be developed during group sessions, with help and advise of experienced producers and post-production experts. Plenary sessions and lectures will tackle spectrum of post-production issues, from financing the project and engineering the budget, to deliverables and sales. Ideally, submitted projects should be - at the time of the workshop - in stage before shooting.

With whom:
so far EP2C has been happy to cooperate with high-profile European professionals, including Diana Elbaum - Entre Chien et Loup (Jury Prize in Cannes 2010 for "A screaming man", Prize Eurimages 2009); Bettina Brokemper - Heimatfilm (Golden Bear 2010 for "Bal", co-producer "Melancholia", Prize Eurimages 2008); post-production supervisors: Christina Crassaris (The Class - Golden Palm 2008) and Niko Remus (Golden Bear 2010 for "Bal"); sound supervisor Michel Schöpping (over 50 films in portfolio); Eric Lagesse - Pyramid International to name a few.
