Adel works in a flower shop on Tunis's main street. A good worker, he nevertheless tends to lose himself in a dream and spends his mornings observing the various characters that stream past the store: laborers and civil servants going to work, unemployed people, folks from more shady walks of life. One day, a pretty woman walks by in front of him. She's the woman Adel has always dreamed of and he falls in love. By chance, a delivery provides him with the opportunity of coming into contact with the object of his désire: she's called Dounia, is the director of a branch of a bank, and seems out of his reach. Adel uses the only language he knows to capture her heart: flowers. Each morning, he delivers bouquets to Dounia, pretending that they come from an unknown admirer. This impossible love creates problems at work and at home. Some of his friends try to dissuade him from this fantasy, while others encourage him to declare his love. Dounia finally discovers what's been going on really...
