Alle Schiffe befinden sich jedoch seit Wochen auf See. Daniel muss sich gedulden, sich mit den afrokolumbianischen Dorfbewohnern vertraut machen und seine Anwesen-heit erklären.

Comment El Vuelco del Cangrejo, a political documentary-style fiction film, portrays the clash between an ancient world which is attached to its centuries-old rural traditions that are threatened by extinction, and destructive modernity. Oscar Ruíz Navia's very special début film is set in a dream-like world of practically unknown landscapes, whose breathtaking beauty is somehow connected with the languid atmosphere suffusing this intimate play under an open sky. Thanks to the largely amateur cast, a sober dimension is conferred on the main character's odyssey which never takes place.
