Mia is eleven years old when she forms an unusual relationship with Charlie, a white lion born on her parents' cat farm in South Africa. The two grow up as brother and sister and soon become inseparable. Three years later, Charlie has grown into a large lion. Mia discovers the secret behind the farm: her father sells the lions to "trophy hunters". Mia will now have only one obsession: to save Charlie, at all costs.
