From testamony of the last surviving participants from that period (1939-1945), the film retraces the participation of Africa and African youth in the fight to liberate and of resistance extolled by General De Gaulle. We find that without Africa and the Africans, France would never have been a victorious country in 1945 and we see the ingratitude of France to those who came from afar to liberate it.
