Having hosted the Algerian Cinematheque for 34 years, Boudjemâa Karèche was the privileged witness of the richest hours of the institution created in 1965. From his islet, he looks back on his journey, the excitement of the beginnings and his complicity with Henri Langlois to the terror of the 1990s. It is also the History of Algeria which is told implicitly through the destiny of a discreet hero who tirelessly programmed films.
