Oualata, uma cidade vermelha à beira do deserto do Saara. Nesse lugarejo, protecção frágil contra o vento, três mulheres praticam pintura tradicional decorando os muros da cidade.
Numa sociedade aparentemente dominada pela tradição, religião e os homens, essas mulheres expressam-se sem reservas. Tecem livremente comentários sobre a relação entre homem e mulher.

In the haven of Oualata, a red city on the far edge of the Sahara desert, three women practice traditional painting by decorating the walls of the city. In a society apparently dominated by tradition, religion and men, these women unabashedly express themselves freely discussing the relationship between men and women.
