Dans ce journal en images, Mahdi Fleifel nous dresse avec sensibilité et humour le portrait intimiste de trois générations d'exilés dans le camp d'Ain el-Hilweh, dans le Sud du Liban, où il a lui-même grandit. Par un kaléidoscope d'enregistrements personnels, d'archives familiales en 8 mm et de séquences historiques, le film illustre la vie quotidienne de ces familles palestiniennes hors du monde, filmées sur 20 ans.
