Producers Morten Kaufmann and Signe Leick Jensen founded Toolbox Film in 2011. Before that they had produced and worked on several of the most prominent films in Danish cinema in recent years, amongst them THE HUNT, SUBMARINO (Thomas Vinterberg) MANDERLAY, THE BOSS OF IT ALL (Lars von Trier) DARK HORSE (Dagur Kari) to name a few. In 2019 they released the local box office hit DANIEL (Cairo FF) which won numerous awards at the Danish Academy Awards, HACKER an action film for children, which won the audience award at both CineKid, Chicago FF and Stockholm FF, SHORTA (Venice Critics Week) and the documentary series KIDS ON THE SILK ROAD (IDFA 2019). Signe Leick Jensen was appointed Producer on the move in Cannes 2012 by EFP, the same year that Thomas Vinterberg's THE HUNT produced by Morten Kaufmann was in Competition in Cannes. Signe attended EAVE in 2012 and is a member of the ACE. In 2013 producer, Maria Stevnbak Westergren, joined the company. Toolbox Film is a member of European Producers Club (EPC.
