An uncompromising portrait of life in the Parisian suburb of Meaux. A group of teenagers get together there who drop out of school, deal in whatever stolen goods they can get hold of, carry out robberies and join small gangs. During a hip hop show there is a shoot-out and one of the youngsters dies. This lights the fuse that sets off the street riots. A film about gangs showing Richet's political ideas.

Arco, Malik and Mustapha are 16. Pretty much left to their own by their parents, they fail at school, spend their time hanging out together and fight with other kids in the Parisian suburbs. Djeff, JM, Hamouda and Pete are older, between the ages of 20 and 26, and jobless. Shots ring out in a disco carpark during a hip hop fiesta. When the police arrive on the scene there's a shoot-out and Malik dies.... The fight's on.

Arco, Malik y Mustapha tienen 16 años. Tienen poco apoyo paternal, fracasan en la escuela, y pasan el tiempo saliendo juntos y peleándose con otros chavales de los suburbios de París.
